This is allegedly a post mortem photo of Tamerlan Tsarnaev aka Suspect #1 in the Boston Marathon Bombings who was allegedly killed in a shootout in Watertown, Massachusetts. According to mainstream media news, Tamerlan Tsarnaev had an IED strapped to his body and set it off, causing the evident burns to his face.
After the shootout, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was admitted to a hospital at 1:20 am and pronounced dead at 1:35 am. It was also reported that his brother – Dzhokar Tsarnaev (Suspect #2) ran over him with a car as he was fleeing. Not sure if that huge laceration on the side of his ribcage has anything to do with it, or if it’s an alleged IED explosion doing. Although it could have also been incised during an attempt to revive him – to decompress the chest from pressure built up by fluid or a collapsed lung, or to gain access to chest cavity for heart stimulation.
If I understand it correctly, Suspect #1 was the guy from the surveillance captures wearing black baseball hat. He looked clean shaven in CCTV pictures. This one, despite facial burns, looks like he’s had a bit of a beard going. Not sure if it’s just my imagination, if it’s a fake pic or if the whole set up is a faguzi.

UPDATE: Cause of Death
BOSTON — A suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings died from gunshot wounds and blunt trauma to his head and torso, his death certificate says.
Worcester funeral home owner Peter Stefan has 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev's body and read details from his death certificate on Friday. The certificate cites Tsarnaev's "gunshot wounds of torso and extremities," Stefan said.
Tsarnaev died last month after a gunfight with authorities a few days after the deadly marathon bombing. Police have said he ran out of ammunition before his younger brother dragged his body under a vehicle while fleeing the scene.
Tsarnaev's family was making arrangements for his funeral as investigators searched the woods near a college attended by his younger brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, on Friday.
